Value | Case 3

Below is a micro-sample of online articles where money was wasted or ill-spent in education:
This is a hypothetical example of how S4E might provide quantifiable monetary value to any school:
As the sample of external resources above reveal, money is frequently thrown around at the national or state level under the umbrella of “education for the kids” which might tug on the heart of average Americans, especially during an election year. Unfortunately, overall accountability for education dollars is probably similar to that of U.S. Congressional spending. Where does that leave local districts and schools which never have enough money to fund all that is critical or mandated by statute?
Leading a district often requires crafting and living within a balanced budget that is more likely to decrease rather than increase during a given fiscal year. Leading a school requires daily decisions that represent financial trade-offs inherent in making choices that determine results.
If a budget structure and spending strategy could be developed and successfully implemented that funded all that was necessary to survive and much of what was desired to thrive, what might that be worth? Suppose a school has an overall budget of $12M:
Would it make financial sense to spend $6,000 during the current fiscal year to realign the budget and free up $50,000 to be used a different way?
Would it make financial sense to spend $9,000 each year for five years to increase school quality thus attracting more students and increasing the overall budget to $13M?
Leading a school that produces exemplary results within budget demands some of the same skills required to excel in personal finance and to lead a successful business.
S4E can provide the strategic thinking and planning to help you make these decisions about financial trade-offs in this crucial area of #SchoolLeadership.
